Hi Kids! Welcome to our "Kid's Corner"!

Daniel
Once upon a time, all good stories start “once upon a time”, there lived in Judah a youth by the name of Daniel. Daniel had three friends, one was Hananiah which means “Yahweh, God of the Hebrews is gracious”, another was Mishael, which means “what God is”, another was Azariah, meaning “whom Yahweh, God of the Hebrews helps”. What good friends they were. The bond between them all will get stronger as you see the story unfold.
Let’s tune in as Daniel tells his story:
There was turmoil in the town, even in the Temple. Yesterday, a fellow by the name of Baruch was reading from the scroll which he said was dictated by Jeremiah the Prophet. Even a youth like myself, could tell that God was not happy with us. What made it even worse was we were told when Baruch read the scroll to King Jehoiakim, he took his knife and cut the scroll into pieces and threw it in the fire. From what I understand from the scroll, we were in “Big Trouble”. God said, “He would allow Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon to take us away to Babylon as prisoners”. Let me tell you right here and now, that when God’s prophet tells you that something is going to happen, you better plan on it happening.
Let me tell you a little about Jeremiah, the Prophet. When Jeremiah says “This is what the Lord says” or “Declares the Lord”, it makes me sit up and take notice. I have great Faith in Jeremiah, he is a true prophet from God. All of my young life, I have heard his warning on how we should turn from evil and serve God. Very few people listen, least of all, King Jehoiakim.
