Platter Flats Recreational Area on Lake Texoma

 Equestrian Area "A" on Lake Texoma (Platter, Oklahoma)

Located just a few short miles north of the Red River (State Line), in Oklahoma, this place is a mere 2-1/2 hour drive from Shepherd's Valley Cowboy Church parking lot.  Trails are mostly sand, red "Okie" dirt, and sandstone.  There is not much rock, and while shoes are always "recommended", you could probably get by quite well bare-footed at this location.  Campsites are on a hillside and have been laid out for trailers, motor home, and tent camping beneath tall oak trees.  Electric, water, picnic table, fire ring, and a BBQ grill at each site.  Nice restrooms with hot showers.
