Indian Mounds Camp/Kiamichi Trails

After a two year absence, we are returning to one of the most popular riding locations, and one of which we normally have a large attendance.  Situated in the gorgeous Kiamichi Mountains of eastern Oklahoma, this ride consists of steep and winding trails that rise nearly 2,000 feet above the campground level.  We try to provide plenty of rest stops, but horses on this ride should be in good shape and be wearing shoes with at least a two-week growth on the hoof bottom.   Over 30 rental horses are available with prior reservation.   Campsites have electricity and water and there are restrooms with hot showers and a covered pavilion.  Indian Mounds has on-site campers of differing sizes for rent, or you can stay at a motel less than a mile away.  Shoes on your horses are recommended.
